November Fly-in Event - Alpine Autumn

In almost our last event of 2006, we invite our pilots to cross the Alps. Simple enough you might think, but to make it challenging we ask that you fly VFR, with real-world/IVAO weather and in a slow, single engine, unpressurised prop!

The event begins in the foothills on the Italian side of the Alps at Aosta (LIMW) and then we make our way across the backbone of Europe to La Veze (LFQM) in France; as the crow flies a little over 100nm, but you can expect to be travelling much further than that.

Routes

No proscribed route as this is visual all the way. Terrain following is suggested when/where possible to allow you to stay in the thicker oxygen rich air that your engine will appreciate.

Being a North Westerly flight, you'll want to file an even VFR altitude, but since you'll be flying "real" VFR, don't expect to be at any particular altitude for any great amount of time.
